For many
people, the fireplace is not just part a of the house providing warmth
and comfort on winter nights, but the focal point of the home to be
enjoyed and admired all through the year.
And if the fireplace is the centrepiece of the home, then an Argyle
canopy must surely be the most functional and attractive centrepiece
of any fireplace. |
 |
Argyle canopies are designed to fit over
the fire and act as a funnel between fire and chimney, but are also used
in new homes which have been built without chimneys.
 |
They can
also be used purely for ornamental use in situations where smoke extraction
is not required - in fact, there's virtually no situation where an
Argyle canopy would not improve the appeal of a fireplace, as well
as increase its functional performance.
|
For example, many old inglenook fireplaces
are now being exposed and renovated, but rarely work efficiently without
smoking into the room-there are few remedies for this problem. Either
brick in a small in a small fireplace, fit a stove, or best of all, fit
an Argyle canopy - always the best way to beat the problem.
 |
Individually
designed brick or stone replacement fireplaces are becoming increasingly
popular, and we are always pleased to offer personal advice regarding
the canopy installation. Our own installation service is available
if required.
|
All Argyle Canopies are designed and made to measure, so each is unique
for your fireplace setting. To Achieve this we make templates for
size on site.
We can offer help or advice to your designer or architect when
planning a new build, including supplying drawings for a typical
Inglenook.
If necessary we undertake site inspections using CCTV cameras
and conduct smoke tests where potential flue problems exist.
Argyle Canopies are committed to giving you a complete first
class service.
