DIAGNOSIS OF A SMOKING FIREPLACE
Phone or email details of your problems.  Advice is free but in order to help our engineers will require some basic information:

1) FIREPLACE OPENING SIZES

  a) Height to lintol/beam from hearth
b) Overall height to start of flue
c) Width
d) Depth

2) INTERNAL FLUE SIZE

Your flue can be circular, rectangular or square.  The photo examples give an idea of what you my see.  It is particularly important to measure a circular flue accurately. If possible a digital photo or your flue attached to you email will be very helpful.
